Sg lembing Town

Sg Lembing is a tin mining town 42 km northwest of Kuantan Pahang. Until 1970s, Sg Lembing was major producer of underground tin. Sg Lembing town developed in the 1880's when British set up the tin mining industry. The pit mines were closed in 1986 due to high costs and low yields, but during their heyday they were among largest and deepest in the world. The total tunnel length is 322 km, with a depth between 610m and 700m. Today the town of Sg Lembing is decline although it was once richest town in Pahang,

known as El Dorodo of east. In the 1940's about 1400 people worked in the mine. Today many of wooden shoplots are closed and people are moving away. The town straddles the river, and the main street on the right bank is split by an avenue of majestic trees.

Hanging Bridge

There are a few hanging bridge in Sg Lembing and it is usually crossing the river. On of the famous hanging bridge there is Kolong Pahat Hanging Bridge which is the oldest one. Although all the bridge is not very long, but is just enough to give a wonderful experience of crossing the hanging bridge especially if it for the first timer.
Hot Spring

The health concious would obviously prefer the natural hot springs. Located at Sg Jin and visitor
can camp and picnic nearby the hot spring pool.

Sg Mas Orang Asli Settlement

This Orang Asli settlement is situated 3KM from Deer Farm. Visitors can do activities such as blow piping or visit the bamboo house.

Panorama Hill

Visitors can watch either sunrise or sunset at both ends of the day. This 400 meters hillock have a flight of concrete steps that takes between 45 minutes to an hour to ascend. The nature lover will be really fascinated by its beautiful view from the top of the hill.

Gunung Tapis Park
Gunung Tapis Park is about 16 kM away from Sg lembing. Its provides excellent opportunities for the more adventurous to shoot the rapids on raft. Trek to Air Terjun Pelangi is about 1.5 hours walk with crossing of a 15 meters wide river up to knee level at the start and most beautiful waterfall in the world.
